May 9, 2007Twin Check 04.13.2007TOP: Is your brother superstitious? Tom: No. Except when the four of us aren't together in the same room half an hour before a show. That brings bad luck. We're very superstitious concerning that matter. We are each other's good luck charms. Bill: Tom isn't superstitious. He does believe in destiny however. TOP: What does he absolutely want to do someday? Bill: He wants to go bungee jumping. We wanna try that together someday. Tom: Bill would like to go skydiving or bungee jumping. He really wants to do that. I don't. That's playing with your life. Well, I might do it when i'm sixty. TOP: What doesn't he share with you? Tom: Obviously we don't share the toothbrush and stuff like that. And we never drink out of the same glass, that's disgusting. Bill: His pants! TOP: Do you exchange clothes? Bill: Well, you know Tom wears those baggy clothes and I couldn't wear them. Tom: Until we were six we wore the same clothes, so maybe we did mix up the dungarees now and then but not anymore. Never... TOP: What's his favorite piece of clothing? Tom: Bill doesn't have a favorite piece of clothing, but if he does after all, it's probably one of his leather jackets. Bill just reaches into his suitcase everyday and puts on whatever he gets ahold of. He looks different everyday. Bill: His caps. Tom loves his caps he has about 20,000 of them. TOP: What do you argue about? Tom: We argue and discuss about something everyday. Sometimes it's about the decisions that are made concerning the band. We don't always agree with each other but usually it's just about the little things that happen everyday. For example when someone spills coffee on you and you get angry. That's what we argue about. Bill: We often argue about little things, but that's over quickly and the next day it's all good, TOP: What annoys you about him? Tom: Bill sings all the time, no matter what the time or place. That's so annoying! Bill always has a song on his mind, can be one of our songs or a song he heard on the radio that he doesn't even like. Well, propably that's just what singers do, but sometimes it just gets on my nerves. Bill: Well, we both really like discussing, but Tom always gets on about something to the very last detail and I always think to myself, "dude just come to a decision." He likes to think things aver and over. TOP: What annoys him about you? Tom: My funny remarks (sarcasm) but it's not only him who's annoyed by that, Georg and Gustav as well. They just can't hold a candle to me in that matter. It's like in math class when nobody can keep up with you. Sometimes I think to myself, "no, don't say it, they can't take another one." But one or two funny remarks a day are necessary, so the boys get a feeling for what's a good one. But that should do it, I mean you can't expect too much of them, and I have o give them a chance to make a funny remark too. It's a kind of learning process. Bill: I make decisions by gut feeling and that's what annoys Tom. He's the thoughtful type. He hates when I decide spontaneously. TOP: What people does he have deep respect for? Tom: He doesn't have any idols, but he admired Nena ever since he was little. He really likes Green Day too and Keane is his favorite band right now. He respects all those people very much for their music. Bill: All good musicians, especially guitarists and good rappers, cause he thinks they kick ass. TOP: What question is he tired of hearing? Bill: "Why do you call yourselves Tokio Hotel?" Tom: "How did you come up with your band name?" We all are sick of this question, cause we've been asked that a hundred times already. TOP: What does his hotel room look like after three hours? Bill: Very organized. Well, within the mess. Tom has his own system of order and you're absolutely not to mess with it. He has a place for everything, he used to be very exact in school too. He always had his ruler ready, so his room is quite tidy too. That's important to him. I'm a bit more chaotic, but I have o say, i'm not all that untidy either. Our mother is very glad about that. We never left a place looking like a bomb had blown up. Tom: Not as dirty as Georg's. He always leaves dirty clothes and smelly socks all over the floor. Bill has clothes everywhere, he's untidy, but not dirty. TOP: In what way is the relationship to your parents different? Tom: When we were little I was daddy's boy and Bill was fixated on mommy but since our parents got divorced we've spent more time with our mother. We both have always got along very well with her.

May 5, 2007"I would really like to fall in love again" -Bill Kaulitz
Bravo: How long exacly have you been single?
Bill: Since about 2.5 years I'm alone. Bravo: That means, you were 14 years old, when you had your last girlfriend? Bill: Exactly. I was together with that girl for 1.5 years. I was really in love with her. Bravo: Why do you have separated? Bill: I don`t know anymore. We drifted apart. But I have never separated from my girlfriends in quarrel. We always had contact and stayed friends. Bravo: How many girlfriends did you have? Bill: Five! I was the first time in love with a girl, when I was in the 4th class. She was older. I always had long relationships. Bravo: How do you feel, when you are in love? Bill: That is the best that can happen, if you have really big emotions for another human being. Then i`m totally confused and cannot concentrate on anything else. Bravo: And would you like to fall in love today? Bill: Yes! I would really like to fall in love again. This feeling is really super-nice - and it would be terrific when I could have this feeling again. But I`m totally not unhappy at all. I had so much luck in the last years, and it has also advantages being single. You can talk with people free, you don`t have to justify – and there exists no jealousy. Bravo: Have you necked (kissed) in the last two years? Bill: No! Just friendlike kisses – for welcome. But nothing with passion. Bravo: But you`re so often at aftershow-parties and events- there should be something possible…. Bill: Yes, sure. But I`m not an up-picker (Aufreißer? don`t know the English word). I don`t have even short flirts. Of course, that would be possible. But that is more Tom`s part (laughs). That`s nothing for me. Bravo: Don`t you feel then anytimes lonely? Bill: Yes, there are such moments. We are often on journey – and sometimes alone in the evening. That`s part of our life. In such situations it would be nice having a girl at my side. Sure, I have Tom, Georg, Gustav – and my family. But nevertheless I feel sometimes lonely. Bravo: And what do you do against that? Bill: Sleeping! (grins) That helps always. Bravo: But that is very sad, or not? Bill: Hmm – I call in such moments often with my friends. They are always there for me. And it helps me much writing down how I feel – like I did for example with our new song “Hilf mir fliegen”. I wrote this song also in such a situation. Bravo: You are really showered with love-confessions of your fans. Could you imagine to have a fan as girl-friend? Bill: That would be really very cool. It`s super to have somebody, who likes my work and my music – and, who likes, what I do. Bravo: But how do you want to find under so many girls the one, you could fall in love? Bill: That`s difficult – but not impossible. There are many situations, when I meet fans. Then it`s possible, that I fall in love with one. Bravo: Did you ever met a fan and thought: she`s hot? Bill: Yes, there were some girls, and I thought, they look really cute. But mostly it doesn`t happen, that we get to know us more closely. I always need a lot of time, before I open my heart for somebody. Bravo: How do you want to change that? Bill: Not at all. Besides, we clicked the moment we met. I really believe strongly in love at first sight! Bravo: How would you react in such a situation? Bill: Then I would think at once: I have to get to know her absolutely. But I have no idea, how far I would go. I would be totally confussed for sure and would not know, where to go. Bravo: And what is with groupies? Bill: I have always nice talks with them. But I`m not a guy for one night…… Bravo: What has to happen, that you would decide for a one-night-stand however? Bill: Just when I think, that it is love at the first sight, and in the next morning I would find out that she`s stupid and bitchy, then we would stop with that one night. But I don`t plan things like that. I really don`t like one-night-stands. Bravo: Is the love of your fans a compensation for a relationship? Bill: That can be. What the fans give us, is at any rate very, very nice. It`s really a good feeling, that they exist. To think about them, helps me often a lot. Bravo: Music or love? What is more important? Bill: I live my dream with the music. When I would have fallen in love, then I would see that maybe in another light. But at the moment Tokio Hotel is at the first place at any rate. Bravo: Would you reveal to your fans being in love with a girl? Bill: Yes! I couldn`t keep that to me for sure. Then I would spend a lot of time with her – and everybody would see that. A hide-and-seek wouldn`t be fair for the fans and for her…

Bill & Tom talk about what they like / don't like
Bravo: So, what do you like about yourselves?
Tom: Wow, where to start...? (laughs). I think I am a pretty funny guy. I can talk very good. Bill: What I like about myself? I am ambitious. If I start something, I want to successfully finish it, too. I do it all by myself so it's only my fault if something goes wrong. Bravo: And what annoys you the most about yourselves? Bill: It annoys me that I always sleep in late. (pouts) Tom: Damn, that's what annoys me about me. Bill: (laughs) I really have problems getting up. I never ever get out of bed. It takes forever until I get moving in the morning. We both would like to be like Gustav – he always gets up really early while we sleep all day. Bravo: But you could change that... Tom: No way! We can't change that...it's like a disease. Bill: Even if we sleep for 15 hours we're still tired. That's in our nature. If I look into the mirror, I always look sleepy. I usually have the imprints of my pillow on my face. Bravo: Bill, what do you like about your brother? And Tom, what do you like about Bill? Bill: I like that he is so spontaneous... Tom: Oh Bill, you're such an idiot. Bill: Why? Tom: Because that's what I wanted to say about you. Great, so what do I like about him now? He's in a bad mood all day, there is nothing to like about him. (laughs). Bullshit. I like his energy. He puts a lot of it into way too long discussions. But that's the way he is. Bravo: What kind of food do you like? And what do you hate? Tom: I love Penne with tomato-cream-sauce. Bill: Yes, with lots of parmesan. Tom: That tastes good everywhere in the world. Bill: I hate broccoli and cauliflower. I tried it once or twice and spit it back on the plate right away. I don't like vegetable-cabbage. Too eww, too healthy. Tom: I think asparagus is shit. Bravo: And what do you like about girls? Bill: Beautiful hands and eyes. That's what I look for first. Tom: I like eyes and nice asses. Bravo: What kind of eyes? Tom: Those you can see with... (laughs). And I hate badly shaped asses. Bravo: Which smells do you like? And which do you hate? Bill: The worst smell? If Georg farts...no, seriously, I like apple-candles and posh bath additives. Tom: And I like to smell fruity perfumes and incenses. Bravo: You used to be addicted to energy drinks. Is that still true? Bill: No, we drank too much of it. I am into strawberry-pulver with cold milk. (*note: It's like the stuff you buy for hot chocolate, we get it in banana taste or strawberry here, too. You simply pour it into cold milk, mix it and have some kind of milkshake) Really sweet and absolutely unhealthy. That's what we like...

May 3, 2007"I believe in love at first sight" -Bill Kaulitz
YAM: Bill, you're still waiting for your Miss Perfect, aren't you – or are there any news?
Bill: No, I'm still solo. YAM: What would your dreamgirl have to be like? Bill: When it comes to her character, she has to be funny and spontaneous. When it comes to her looks or style, she simply has to touch me. She should cause something in me the moment I look at her. I don't believe that it's possible not to be interested in one another in the beginning and to fall in love later on. I believe in love at first sight. There has to be something there right from the start. You don't have to be together right away, but there has to be a strong feeling right from the beginning. It has to be really important for me. YAM: Is there anything you specially look at when you first meet a girl? Bill: I think beautiful hands are very attractive so that is probably what I look at first. Her style doesn't really matter, it's just important that is has character. And if that convinces me, I don't care if she wears jeans and sneakers or a skirt and high heels. YAM: Which famous women do you like? Bill: Angelina Jolie is really hot. And I still like the Olsen-Twins. YAM: When have you been in love for the last time? Bill: Oh, that has been ages. The last time was when I was 13 or 14. I had my first longer relationship back then. I haven't really fallen in love ever since... YAM: When you meet a girl you're interested in, do you fall in love easily? Bill: Yes! Even though it has changed a lot. It takes a lot of time until I let someone get close to me now. But falling in love still happens fast, basically head over heels. YAM: Do you go over to talk to her or wait for her to come and talk to you? Bill: I let them come and talk to me...but when I am interested in her, and I see she does not dare to come and talk to me, I would do it. YAM: What's it like when you meet a girl now? It must be really difficult to trust someone or to find out if she is really serious... Bill: True. We have all become more careful in the band. It's difficult, to find someone you can trust and be yourself with. But we also think that we have to get to know people and tht is why we go to these kind of single parties. I trust it will happen by accident. If the right one comes along, she will come along.

"I'm extremely jealous" -Bill Kaulitz
BG: A few weeks ago was Valentine’s Day. Definitely you have received lots of love letters. But there’s somebody whom you have send something nice?
Bill: Yes – my mother! Flowers. And I call everybody that’s important to me. BG: How do you feel when thousands of girls are sitting in front of you at the concerts and screaming “I love you”? Bill: It’s a nice feeling! Love is something grandiose. And this is the most important thing you can say to somebody. I need some time until I can say the girl “I love you”. BG: So, these words haven’t lost their meaning, even if you hear them all the time. Bill: No. Everybody has their own way of seeing things. I know many people that haven’t had problems in saying “I love you” very quickly. For me it’s a little more difficult. BG: Why? Bill: First I’m in love and I feel that I love. But before I realize that it’s true love I need some time. I’m very careful from this point of view. When I say “I love you” I really feel it… BG: What should have a girl to have the chance to be loved by you? Bill: Calm and high spirits. Humor impresses me totally. If I notice that we can laugh together I know : something is there… BG: And what you don’t like? Bill: To stay doing nothing and get bored. I need a girlfriend with whom I can have a spontaneous relationship and the time spent together with her to be a nice one. BG: How are you like a lover? Bill: The most important thing for me is fidelity. I’m extremely jealous. And jealousy can be considered as a compliment. That means that you love the person next to you. You wish to be the only one in her life and take care of her. BG: What makes you jealous? Bill: I would let flirting gazes been accepted exactly so, but not exaggerate. A kiss on the mouth, one that’s not a friendly one, it means cheating. BG: do you ever been cheating? Bill: Hopefully no. I say it clear from the beginning: if you want a change or if you fall in love with somebody else, it’s ok – but be honest. Say it before! BG: the Bill Kaulitz girlfriend shouldn’t be jealous of so many girl fans? Bill (laugh): I imagine that my future girlfriend would be jealous. But that will not be a problem. I would understand her very well. So am I….
